Singing Tree

The Singing Ringing Tree emits a melodious hum to the orchestra of the wind. Completed in 2006 by architects Mike Tonkin and Anna Liu as part of the Panopticon structures, it is a 3 meter tall galvanized steel pipe tree that has cleverly been tuned by various length "branches" with holes cut on the underside to produce a range of octaves that change with the wind.

Listen to the rustling of the wind.
