A tidal wave at Multnomah Falls

On September 4, 1995, as a wedding party was lining up for photos on Benson Bridge, a rock slid off of the face of the upper falls and crashed into the pool below. The rock was the size of a school bus and fell about 225 feet, causing the displaced water to explode 300 feet into the air, over the 70 foot high bridge. 20 people received minor injuries from flying debris. (What a wedding day!)
