Viktualienmarkt

This farmer's market is an oldie. As far as I can tell, it is older than 1807, when King Maximilian issued a decree that made this location permanent. Come for flowers, fruit, game, poultry, spices, cheese and world-acclaimed sausage. There are a host of folk traditions throughout the year: weighing celebrities, brewers' day, gardeners' day, summer festival, and dance of the market women.

Open Monday - Saturday, 8am-8pm
