Last night as I was enjoying the empty streets of San Francisco while driving down Embarcadero after midnight, I finally saw the Bay Lights! With nothing else around it really looked magical. We pulled over and walked to the end of Pier 7 and watched the dancing lights in silence.
The Bay Lights is the world's largest LED light sculpture that spans the cables of the Bay Bridge. Created by artist Leo Villareal, who is known internationally for his site-specific light sculptures, the project uses 25,000 white lights that create a never-repeating light show that will be on view until 2015.
