Flying over Yasawa Island you get the feeling that this is truly a smaller Fijian destination. Some who have visited have said that there really isn't much to do there, and I would say that when compared to the other adventured packed islands, that this is true. However, I found that the people of Yasawa had some of the brightest smiles and biggest hearts of all the Fijians I met. The island also has some of the most beautiful beaches of all the islands and because it isn't a crowded place, it is not unlikely to have one of these all to yourself.
There are 6 villages on the island and the people are happy to welcome you. The Yasawa Island Resort is the place to be for spectacular beach front villas, delicious local food, some of the friendliest staff, and really, just an chill experience. You can go diving, snorkeling, and even hiking. And make sure to take advantage of their spa!
If your are visiting Fiji and want to island hop, I would make this my last destination. Moving around the islands can be exhausting, and Yasawa has all you need to get back to relaxing and enjoying every single thing there is to love about this spectacular country.
