Balboa Park is a gorgeous public area in the middle of San Diego that draws diverse crowds, holds several excellent museums, abundant gardens, walkways and paths, and is an inspiration to everyone who visits.
On one particular visit, I was so overcome with the gorgeous architecture of the Railroad Museum building that I immediately plopped down on the grass and sketched out one of the statues so eloquently holding up the roof of the building. There are many like these every six feet or so surrounding the top of the building. If you look carefully, each one is different. This is the one that struck me in particular.
