Vio is a tiny town high up in the Pyrenees Mountains in the province of Huesca in Spain. The town sits on the edge of Valle de Vio in the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park. It was a cold and rainy day and we had stopped for a break to watch the grey clouds peeling off the sharp edge of the escarpment when I spied small stone cottage in the distance.
I set off up this small track to get the photo hoping that I wouldn't come across a wet and grumpy local farmer. Crouched down trying to hold the umbrella between my shoulder and my ear struggling to keep dry and get the shot I would have looked for all the world like a giant mushroom in his field.
The scene was changing so fast as the mist and clouds swept through providing only short tantalising glimpses of the mountains marching off in the distance beyond. I could have spent all day there, once again you don't capture some locations they capture you.
