Wander out to Waving Girl Landing

River Street is a great place to walk or jog along the winding Savannah River. It has a tree-lined promenade, a slew of shops, restaurants and statues. In fact, there are statues all around the area with the "Waving Girl" and the "Cracked Earth" being the most visited. You can also take a ferry boat ride along the river and it is a great place to watch the giant container/cargo ships go by. The ferry boat goes across the river to the Westin, and then cuts back to the Marriott before coming back to the Hyatt, like a harbor "cruise" that only takes about 30 minutes. You can also walk around the park or if you are like me, walk around and take photographs. I especially liked the 'old warehouse' feel of the the place. Since this was once an abandoned wharf, it still has that run-down feel to it.http://www.pointsandtravel.com/savannah-ga-1000-times-love/
