This is inside the Wieskirche Pilgrimage Church - the first World Heritage Site I visited as part of a challenge to see every one in Germany in just 30 days.
In the southeast of the country, this church became a pilgrimage site after tears were apparently seen coming from a statue of Christ in the mid 1700s.
It's in a beautiful location in the Bavarian countryside but the most stunning part is inside. The whole church is painted and decorated to highlight the suffering and salvation in the tears of the statue.
There's also a great restaurant right next to it that does a traditional Bavarian menu - I would recommend it for lunch!
