Isla Nublar

If you're at all a Jurassic Park fan (or geek) as I am, then you'll be familiar with many of the vistas and sights in the movies (yes there are three). Much of Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna (the staging island that's shown in Jurassic Park 2 and 3) the two islands where the dinosaurs reside, was filmed on Kauai.

You can see these jagged worn-in coastal mountains from the water or air, but it's remarkable to know that you can hike them via the Kalalau Trail, which stretches for 11 miles across those very peaks.
