Bus Stop, by The Hollies

Inspired by @keandrews' #busstop challenge, here's a note about the song of the same name. A major international hit for The Hollies in 1966, it was written on or around here by a teenage Graham Gouldman (who later became famous in his own right as a member of 10cc). Gouldman lived in Broughton in Salford, and wrote the song about a girl he saw waiting a bus stop as he took the No 95 to his job in a menswear shop.

Here he is playing it with Neil Finn and Roddy Frame on a BBC show called Songwriters' Circle in 1998.
