Balinese Cooking Classes

One of my travel philosophies is that travel has to teach you something. One of my favorite ways to bring my trips alive and take a ride on the memory lane is to cook food I have learned on my travels. When I visited Bali, I took the Anika Balinese Cooking Classes. The class started early on the morning with a visit to a local farmer's market, and continued with a breakfast. I was glad we ate before the cooking class, it would have been a torture to cook hungry, and smell the amazing scents the entire morning. We learned so much about Indonesian food, and got tips how to replicate some of the recipes at home, and even got a recipe booklet to take home. I highly recommend this cooking class to anyone, and it's also a great family activity. You can arrange a pick up from your hotel making it very easy, and you can also combine a visit to the Anika spa after the cooking classes. Anika is right next to the Denpasar airport making it convenient to even take your cooking classes and have a spa visit before you flight out of the island and transfer directly to the airport.
