When the weather gets hot in Texas, it's always nice to find something to do indoors with the kids. On on our trip to Austin, we decided to check out the Inner Space Cavern and the underground caves to stay out of the hot sun. The Inner Space Cavern in Georgetown is one of the best preserved caves in Texas and has been open since 1966 after an accidental discovery. The one hour tour is pretty much enough underground to get a good feel of the caves, although the one hour tour only shows a small part of the caves. Our guide was somewhat educational, but I could have done with less punny jokes, and wished more learning opportunities for the kids. However, especially the younger kids seemed to really like the light version of the guided tour.
