London, United Kingdom by staycurious Animals Battersea Power Station was featured on the cover of Pink Floyd's album "Animals". The concept for the album art was conceived by bassist and writer Roger Waters, it was photographed by long-time collaborator Hipgnosis. The band commisioned German company Ballon Fabrik and Australian artist Jeffrey Shaw to build a 30 feet porcine balloon which was then inflated with helium and manoeuvred into position. Whilst attempting to shoot the image the pig balloon broke free and disappeared from view. It landed in Kent and was recovered by a local farmer, who was furious as the pig had "scared his cows".
